Director, Head of Advisory Services Department, ICD
Nida Raza is currently the Director, Head of Advisory Services Department (ASD) of the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD). He was the former Director in Advisory and Deputy Head of Islamic Banking Center at EY.
She has over 16 years of global capital markets, investment banking and advisory experience. She started her career at JP Morgan in London in Credit Origination covering Northern Europe. She worked at Keybank in the US where she successfully set up and ran the Debt Capital Markets division for over 5 years. Subsequently she moved to the GCC in 2007 and has since worked in Dubai and Bahrain for Standard Chartered Bank, Millennium Finance (DIB subsidiary) and Bank Alkhair (formerly Unicorn Investment bank). She joined EY 2012 as a Director in Financial Services Advisory specializing in strategy, risk and capital markets.
Ms. Raza has a MSc in Financial Engineering from the ICMA Center (University of Reading) and attained a first class BSc (Hons) degree in Physics with Space Science from University College London (UCL). She has other professional qualifications including the Islamic Finance certification – IFQ, FSA certifications from the UK as well as series 7 & 63 investment banking licenses from the US.
